IndSAFE Pty Ltd has completed a groundbreaking program of research and development
(R&D) of radio frequency tag based technology that will lead
to a significant improvement in worker safety and industrial
productivity around the world.
This RF based technology basically creates
a detection zone, to discriminate:
- Between
what is allowed to proceed past
a certain point e.g. selected materials to be processed (wood, metal, biological substance, etc.) or various objects in transit.
- And what is not e.g. a tagged
human appendage, or other tagged objects and materials.
... Without a desired response being automatically
generated.
This response may range from:
- Stopping the feed-system.
- To stopping the machine.
- To lockout of machine startup
or automatic machine activation.
- To sounding of a warning klaxon.
- To initiating a different
machine action.
- To recording and acting on the unique transmissions of active tags etc.
Tags may be ACTIVE, SEMI-ACTIVE or PASSIVE.
An
indication of a need for this technology is demonstrated by the
fact that from 1980 to 1995, at least 93,338 workers in the U.S.
died as a result of trauma suffered on the job. Many of these deaths
and injuries could have been prevented by application of this automatic
safety technology.
Patents have
been granted in both Australia and the U.S.A. on the basis that application
of this technology throughout the field of industrial safety and
processing is both new and innovative.
A CD
Rom describing
the protection of people working with mobile wood-chippers is available.
INVETECH Pty Ltd in Melbourne, Australia carried out the latter stages of R&D of this fail-safe and self-test technology under contract to IndSAFE. INVETECH is part of the world wide technology focused VISION SYSTEMS Ltd.
From this strong technological and intellectual property base we can develop solutions for clients with certain safety, monitoring and processing problems … in a wide range of industrial situations.
INDSAFE IS LOOKING FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FROM:
- Buyers and Developers of Intellectual Property
- Licencees of Intellectual Property
- Automation & Control Solution providers
- Safety Management Solution providers.
- Technology Developers, Licensors and Licensees.
- Joint Venture Partners.
- Manufacturing & Route to Market Partners.
- Venture Capitalists
The Chief Executive Officer of a large manufacturing authority has stated:
". IndSAFE should not even think of becoming involved in commercializing, manufacturing and marketing. The range of potential applications of this technology is too wide ... and there are big players out there cashed up and ready to take advantage of the many opportunities you can offer.
Your future lies in technology sales, consulting, licensing . and undertaking further research and development for, and in partnership with, large manufacturers and "route to market" partners."
